Background
Dixie completed an Applied Science Degree at the University of Canberra in 2002 and a Law Degree in 2004. Between 2004 and 2009 she practiced in commercial and corporate law in Canberra.
Having grown up in the area, Dixie returned to the far South Coast in 2009 and joined Peter Tierney Lawyers.
Dixie is the vice president of the Far South Coast and Monaro Law Society.

Experience
Dixie’s background is in commercial, corporate and property law. She has acted as legal adviser to a diverse range of client’s in a broader commercial context, including for government agencies, national and state sporting Associations and not-for –profit organisations.
She has extensive experience in a broad range of corporate, commercial and business areas including:
• governance and contracts;
• business and corporate structures;
• commercial contracts, including sale and purchase and joint venture agreements;
• franchise agreements; and
• Associations and not-for profits.
Dixie has also worked extensively in property law including:
• commercial and retail leasing;
• property development;
• planning law;
• commercial property sales;
• drafting and interpreting Crown Leases for Australian Capital Territory land; and
• residential land commercial conveyancing matters.
Dixie recently has conducted proceedings in the Federal Court to obtain non-claimant declarations under the Native Title Act.
