Background

Obtaining her Law Degree with Merit from the University of Western Sydney, Amanda was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia in 2001 and became a Family Law Accredited Specialist in 2007.

 

Experience

Since qualifying as a lawyer Amanda has dedicated her practice in the area of Family Law and De Facto Relationships.  Having volunteered at Merrylands and the South West Legal Centre as well giving her time to volunteer to assist clients in Parramatta Local Court on AVO matters, Amanda now regularly appears in local courts on both criminal and AVO matters and has vast experience dealing with family law matters involving violence and where there is a need for supervised contact.

Amanda has extensive experience in conducting complex family law property settlements involving trust and company assets, drafting binding financial agreements and in the conduct of both interim and final applications in the Family Courts in Sydney, Parramatta and the South Coast.  Amanda's wealth of experience includes contested relocation cases, the enforcement of Family Court orders and proceedings under the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction.

Amanda provides advice on all aspects of family law including Child Support Agreements, the resolution of Child Support disputes and Appeals of Child Support Assessments to the Family Court. 

Amanda specialisation extends to De Facto Relationships Law where she is experienced in advising upon and drafting cohabitation and separation agreements under the Property (Relationships) Act and conducting property proceedings in the Local, District and Supreme Courts.
