Background

Barrie commenced employment with Warren McKeon Dickson as General Manager in 2000 bringing 30 years experience in professional and commercial accounting.

Experience

Barrie has been a registered tax agent since 1976, commencing his accounting training with Chartered Accountants.

Barrie has a wealth of experience with the accounting practices of large companies including conducting audits of public companies and providing taxation advice to company directors.

Supervising the day-to-day running of Warren McKeon Dickson and heading the Accounts Department, Barrie provides matter-related accounting advice and in-house advice as well as assisting in the preparation of taxation returns when required.

Barrie also co-ordinates the Warren McKeon Dickson Work Integrated Scholarship, which is run in conjunction with the University of Wollongong . The Scholarship is offered to the most outstanding applicant from law students in their penultimate year of study. Applicants with interests in Commercial Transactions, Property, Employment and Commercial Litigation are targeted to match our main practice areas. This highly sought-after Scholarship provides successful candidates with the opportunity to work as a clerk with us over summer and throughout their final year of study. With clerks receiving the close supervision and support of our professional staff, our Scholarship offers our clients the opportunity of accessing a professional level of service at non-professional rates.
