Background

Between 1987 and 1994, Dean worked at the global accountancy and advisory firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers in their Business Services, Taxation and Insolvency Divisions and at the Bank of America.

Dean completed a Commerce Degree majoring in accountancy at the University of New South Wales in 1991, a Law Degree at the University of Technology , Sydney in 1994 and a Masters Degree in Law from the University of New South Wales in 2000, specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law.

Dean commenced practice as a solicitor with Warren McKeon Dickson in 1995 and joined the firm as a partner in 1996.

Experience

Dean specialises in commercial advice and litigation and oversees the firm's Commercial Law Group, business and property transactions and general court advocacy. Dean has over 15 years experience providing advice to businesses. Dean's practice now includes the provision of all aspects of legal advice to companies and businesses including transactional work, negotiating and drafting documents, dispute resolution and conducting litigation.

Dean oversees our Employment and Industrial Relations Law practice and has extensive experience in the conduct of complex litigation in this area. Dean has also been invited to lecture on the WorkChoices legislation to business groups throughout NSW.

Dean has been a member of the Law Society of New South Wales Commercial Litigation Law & Practice Committee and is currently a Director and an active member of the St. George and Sutherland Business Enterprise Centre where he regularly conducts legal seminars for the Centre's members and participates in their business mentor project.
