Background

Kara graduated from the University of Wollongong in December 2007 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accountancy and Management. Kara joined Warren McKeon Dickson in December 2006 as the recipient of the Warren McKeon Dickson Work Integrated Learning Scholarship offered in conjunction with the University of Wollongong. Kara will be undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Wollongong early next year with a view to being admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in July 2008.

Experience

Kara has worked at the firm on a part time basis since December 2006. She has been involved in matters from a wide range of practice areas. Once admitted Kara hopes to continue working in the areas of corporate and commercial law and employment law. As a member of the WMD Corporate and Commercial Division Kara is involved in assisting in the provision of corporate advice, reviewing contracts and drafting a range of commercial and litigation based documents. Prior to employment at WMD, Kara worked on a part-time basis at an accountancy firm for a period of four years. As a result, Kara has experience in drafting and auditing financial accounts. Kara also has an integral role in the administration of the Miranda & Districts Chamber of Commerce.
