Background

Melissa graduated from the University of Wollongong in December 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) with Distinction. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in July 2007.

Melissa joined Warren McKeon Dickson in November 2005 as the recipient of the Warren McKeon Dickson Work Integrated Learning Scholarship offered in conjunction with the University of Wollongong.

Experience

Melissa worked at the firm on a part time basis as a Law Clerk until December 2006 and was involved in matters from a wide range of practice areas. Melissa is now engaged as a Law Graduate primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial law, property law, family law and wills, powers of attorney and guardianship.

As a member of the WMD Corporate and Commercial Division Melissa is involved in assisting in the provision of corporate advice, reviewing contracts and drafting a range of commercial and litigation based documents. She assists clients with dispute resolution involving insolvency, bankruptcy and associated debt collection issues.

Melissa is also part of the team which publishes the electronic monthly newsletter and maintains the Warren McKeon Dickson website.
